Description

In today's chaotic and unpredictable world, the need for organizations to be prepared and to respond to disruptions is a priority at all levels of leadership. But resilience is not only the responsibility of business continuity, incident management, and cyber security staff; it is everyone's responsibility. Preparation starts with knowledge. Knowledge of what resilience means to an organization. Knowledge of what measures are in place. Knowledge of risk awareness. Knowledge of everyone’s role in increasing resilience.

Objective

This workshop provides the information that addresses the issues as well as the means by which organizations prepare for and respond to disruptive events. It follows the DRI International Professional Practices for Business Continuity Management.

NOTE: This course does not prepare students to take the Qualifying Exam or apply for certification at any level. It is neither a replacement for any courses in DRI's Continuity Track including the Overview course nor a line-by-line review of the changes to the Professional Practices.
