Certification

DRI International certifies individuals and provides various levels of active professional certifications in a number of areas. Our certifications are the standards of excellence in business continuity management whether you are a practitioner, vendor, or auditor. Certifications acknowledge an individual's effort to achieve a professional level of competency in the industry. While individual motives may vary, there are numerous reasons for seeking certification including personal and professional satisfaction, employer recognition and financial gain.

Today is the perfect time to advance your level of certification. Studies show that advanced certification leads to greater career flexibility, greater income and better job satisfaction. So don't delay, log into your DRI account and apply today! If you have any questions about upgrading your certification level or want to discuss options for your entire team (i.e. group training), call +1-866-542-3744.

Certification is a two-part process: verification of knowledge and confirmation of experience. This includes:

  1. The receipt of a passing examination grade to verify a candidate's knowledge of the subject matter
  2. An application which may be required to confirm the experience needed for a DRI International certification. This will be reviewed by the Commission.

Please take a look at the information below to find the appropriate type and level of certification for you.

Upgrading An Existing DRI Certification

No Examination Re-Take Required

If you hold a current DRI International certification in good standing, you do not need to re-take an examination to upgrade your certification to the next level whether it’s ABCP to CBCP/CFCP, ACRP to CCRP (Cyber Resilience), ARMP to CRMP (Risk Management), APSCP to CPSCP (Public Sector Continuity), or AHPCP to CHPCP (Healthcare Continuity).

Note: If you wish to apply for the Audit certifications (CBCA/CBCLA), you must take and receive a passing score on the Audit Examination. If you wish to apply for the highest MBCP level certification, you must take and receive a passing score on the Master’s Case Study Examination.

Retired (Ret.) Status

Retirement status provides a means for professionals to maintain certification for periods of time when they are not working directly in the field or if they are retiring from the industry. There are many excellent reasons for retiring your certification, but letting it lapse is always a mistake.
