DRI Launches Collegiate Conference Series
NEW YORK – March 3, 2015 – Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRI), the leading nonprofit business continuity professional organization, has partnered with colleges and universities in North America to host a series of one day conferences that will connect the next generation of business continuity and resilience specialists with experienced thought leaders in the field. The DRI Collegiate Conference Series will bring DRI-certified professionals together with faculty and students to exchange ideas about business continuity planning, disaster recovery and risk management.
"The concept of resilience, both through proactive and reactive efforts, has become increasingly relevant in our global economy,” said DRI President and CEO Al Berman. "Through the Collegiate Conference Series, current business continuity industry leaders, academics and students interested in this growing profession will discuss how best to continue helping businesses and organizations across industries protect their reputations despite business disruptions that arise.”
The full-day programs will provide education opportunities for DRI-certified professionals, with presentations from experts in the private and public sectors, as well as from academia. In addition, networking opportunities throughout the day will allow the current industry leaders to meet with interested college seniors, graduate students and faculty.
