Description

Never before has our reliance on automation been greater. And never before have we seen so many threats that could compromise systems and data. With DRI's IT/DR course, you will learn about your responsibilities, the benefits and drawbacks of the tools and processes available to you, and how your organization can increase its preparedness. You'll come away with the skills you need to create an IT/DR project plan and gain management approval for it. If you work in business continuity, IT, security, or a related field, and have an interest in your responsibilities when it comes to IT/DR, this interactive course is for you. If it's been a while since you were last certified, this is the perfect opportunity for you to get on top of the latest developments in IT/DR. The knowledge you gain will put you at the head of the pack professionally, and make you a valuable asset to your organization.

1. Understanding the business continuity management (BCM) architecture and disciplines
2. Learning the role of IT/DR within business continuity management
3. Recognizing issues involved with recovery of technology platforms and data
4. Evaluating current and new IT/DR technologies (real, virtual, cloud, co-location, hyperconvergence, VDI, "as-a-Service" - IaaS/PaaS/SaaS/ etc., and "Software Defined" - storage/network/data center)
5. Selecting strategic alternatives for the IT/DR process
6. Building, testing, and implementing the new IT/DR process
7. Integrating the business continuity management and IT/DR functions within your entity

Module 1: How to create an IT/DR Project Plan and gain Leadership Approval
- Understand the DR professional’s role
- Establish the need for IT/DR, based on issues, goals, and objectives
- Review new IT/DR strategies and building project plans
- Learn how to obtain management approval and funding for IT/DR
- implementation and support
- Organize IT/DR projects by formulating goals and objectives
- Define deliverables and assign resources to tasks via project plan

Cancellation Policy

Courses are scheduled subject to a minimum enrollment. If enrollment for a particular course does not meet the minimum, that class is cancelled or rescheduled. If DRI International must cancel a class for any reason, DRI's liability is limited to the paid registration fee. DRI makes every effort to notify registered participants as soon as possible if classes are cancelled.

Registration applies only to the individual named on the registration form. If you want to substitute another individual from the same company, you must contact the course registrar prior to the first day of the course. Rescheduling must occur within twelve months of the originally scheduled course and no more than three course transfers are permitted. Within twelve months, there is no charge for course transfers. If you exceed the allotted twelve months for rescheduling or limit of three course transfers, no refunds will be made.

The following refund policies apply:

  • No refund will be issued if an individual cancels within 14 days of the first day of the course
  • A 50% refund will be issued if an individual cancels within 15-29 days of the first day of the course
  • A full refund will be issued if an individual cancels 30+ days before the first day of the course
