Description

This brand-new course, and associated certifications are part of the joint effort between Bluetide Puerto Rico and DRI International to address the specific resiliency needs of coastal communities around the world. To achieve this, organizations must become more prepared, increase the visibility of that preparedness, and ensure that a holistic approach is being taken to provide end-to-end operational capabilities in the event of a disruptive incident. The goal is to help organizations understand the benefits that can be achieved through this process and how its accomplishment would enhance the company reputation and lead to optimized, safeguarded, efficient, and compliant organization.

In order to achieve this goal, organizations must have trained, aware, and practiced personnel who have demonstrated skill sets that will enhance the ability to enact the organization’s preparedness program. These personnel must maintain their level of expertise through continued education and awareness programs from recognized providers of information.

The participatory nature of the course immerses you in the learning process, enables you to understand the concepts by doing, and ensures that you leave with a firm foundation for your program that is specific to your entity. Passing the BTPR Qualifying Examination is required to apply for the following certifications: Blue Certified Coastal Protection Professional (BCCPP) for those with less than two years of experience and Blue Infrastructure Professional (BIP) for those with at least two years of experience.
