Climate change, globalization, and the intricate complexity of multiple operational risks (e.g. supply chain, technological innovations) have challenged Business Continuity Management Professionals to quickly respond to and recover from a growing number of business disruptive events. The need to strengthen business resiliency cannot be questioned, yet promoting the physical and mental well-being of recovery teams and continuity professionals is, in many cases, still not being prioritized. This session teaches participants how to leverage mindfulness to optimize incident management while lowering stress and increasing emotional intelligence and effective decision-making. Scientific research and an overview of how the human brain works will be provided to understand how and why mindfulness is a value-add discipline. Short-guided meditations and practical “mindfulness on the go” tools will be included as part of this training session.
